Regardless of the vilification, the brave and unwavering Nelson started the campaign which moved from social to a physical movement that saw Ghanaians match to call home the need for Government to fix the 'Dumsor' which had got out of hand and was affecting businesses and other organizations in the country.
2. She Has A Glaucoma foundation
Yvonne Nelson has a Glaucoma Foundation which she set up to help fight the deadly optical disease. Not much is not heard about the foundation currently although it was meant to be a foundation to educate people about the deadly optical disease she said killed one of her relatives.
3. She Contested For Miss Ghana 2005
Yvonne Nelson was one of the contestants for the coveted Crown of Miss Ghana in 2005 but she lost out. However, her stellar performance at the pageantry won her Mis Photogenic and best talent award.
4. She is an old student of Aggrey Memorial and Central University College
Sweet Yvonne is an old student of Aggrey Memorial in Cape Coast and she had her college education at Central University where she studied Human Resource Management.
